A Little About Myself...

I'm a union sound editor specializing in dialogue editorial. As a member of the IATSE Local 700 Motion Picture Editor's Guild, I live inside Pro Tools and Izotope RX and am confident that I can bring out the natural sound and clarity from any production recording.

Audio has been a major part of my life since I can remember. After working in live event sound production and radio broadcasting, I finally made it to the big leagues; Post Production! I worked in Los Angeles for 7 years working my way up to my specialty of dialogue editorial. I am now based in Seattle, WA where I continue to work remotely for Los Angeles based post houses.

I've always known that I wanted to do sound for film. As a kid, watching the behind the scenes extras showed me that there was this whole other world where awesome people come together to create an entire universe that didn't exist before. I needed to be a part of it. Originally, I thought foley would be my contribution to that, but I was soon to discover that dialogue editorial is really where I shine. For me, the devil is in the details, and with dialogue editorial, I get to be my meticulous self. I quickly became addicted to hunting through the spectrogram for unwanted distractions and noises. While I love how the fun of sound effect editorial offers the instant gratification of highlighting an action, dialogue editorial is essential to bringing natural flow back into the story. It IS the story! And who doesn't love stories?

After getting an Associate degree in Audio Engineering, I made the leap to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of post production editorial. I was surprised to find out that if you're dedicated and good at the work you do, there's no limit to what you can achieve. I became a member of MPEG after about 5 years in the industry and continue to reach for the stars wherever an opportunity shows itself.
